Who we are

Wirdna is published personally by Abdulrahman. This policy covers wirdna.net and the Wirdna mobile app as it is prepared for release. Contact: support@wirdna.net. We will update this page if the released app’s data practices change.

This website

The website does not use advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, contact forms, or accounts. A motion preference may be saved in your browser’s local storage. Fonts and artwork load from this site. Firebase Hosting serves the website and may process ordinary connection information, including your IP address, requested page, and browser information, to deliver and protect it. See Firebase privacy information. You can clear the motion preference through your browser’s site-data settings.

Information on your device

The mobile app requires no account and includes no advertising or analytics SDK. Reading position, bookmarks, favorites, remembrance counters, settings, reminders, and the last selected location are stored locally. Your operating system may include them in device backups. The full Quran text and fonts are bundled in the installed app.

Optional location and Qibla

Device location is requested only after you choose it, for access while the app is in use. Prayer times, timezone, and Qibla are calculated on your device without a prayer-location server. You can instead choose a city or enter coordinates and timezone manually. If enabled for a previous GPS selection, the app may refresh it when you return. There is no background GPS tracking. You can forget the saved location and mosque cache in Settings and revoke permission in device settings. The compass reads heading only while its screen is active; readings are not uploaded.

Optional maps and mosque search

Maps and nearby-mosque searches require internet and an in-app consent choice. OpenStreetMap receives requests for the displayed map tiles. Private.coffee or overpass-api.de receives a search center rounded to three decimal places, approximately 100 metres. Photon/Komoot may provide partial name-search results if the area service is unavailable. These providers also receive ordinary IP/request data and may retain records under their own policies. A limited result cache stays on your device. Directions open your chosen external map service. Provider information: OpenStreetMap, Private.coffee, Overpass, and Photon/Komoot.

Optional recitations, commentary, and sharing

Streaming or downloading audio sends the requested surah and reciter identifier and normal connection data to Islamic Network / Al Quran Cloud, without your coordinates. Completed recordings remain in app storage until you delete them; incomplete files may be kept to resume a download. Optional commentary sends a verse reference and normal request data to Quranpedia after you choose to load it. External links and your selected sharing destinations follow their own policies. Wirdna does not automatically post to social accounts. Provider information: Al Quran Cloud and Quranpedia.

Notifications and widgets

Prayer alerts are scheduled locally after you grant permission; no push server or device push token is used. Each prayer can be off, silent, or use a short Athan excerpt. Widgets share prayer times, selected place name, language, theme, and shortcuts locally with the app, without coordinates. Someone viewing your device may see widget information.

Support messages

If you email us, we process your email address, message, and any attachments to respond and resolve the issue. Email is handled through Resend and our Gmail support inbox. A signed forwarding endpoint hosted through OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare processes incoming event metadata to route support mail. These providers may process and retain service records under their policies. Do not send sensitive information. We keep support messages only as needed to handle requests, maintain relevant records, and meet applicable obligations; you may request deletion at the support address. Provider policies: Resend, Google, Cloudflare, and OpenAI.

Your choices and retention

You can change device permissions, clear browser site data, forget app location, and delete downloaded recordings. Removing the app removes its local data subject to operating-system backup and restore behavior. We operate no remote account or personal-progress database. Optional providers may retain network records according to their policies. For access, correction, deletion, or a privacy question about support correspondence, contact support@wirdna.net. This page will be revised when these practices change.
